Mary Catherine Lowery Pellem of Pulaski died Monday at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. She was born in Mobile, Alabama, and was 48 years old.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Rice Baptist Church, 4569 Winchester Road, New Market, Alabama.
Memorial donations are suggested to Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home, 1910 Elkton Pike, Pulaski, Tennessee 38478 to help with expenses. Also, a Go Fund Me page has been set up in her memory.
She is survived by her fiancée, Carlos Herrero of Pulaski; daughters: April Lowery and Crystal Riggins, both of Pulaski; sons: Branden Riggins and Jacob Riggins of Pulaski; Emmett Lee Pellem of Huntsville; sisters: Karen Lowery Doney of Woodbury and Cheryl Darlene Lowery of Pulaski; brothers: James Harris Lowery of Gurley, Alabama and Michael Lee Lowery of New Market, Alabama; 1 granddaughter; and several nephews, nieces, cousins and friends also survive.

Thomas Dean Lanier died Monday at Country Cottage in Lawrenceburg. He was 78 years old
Visitation will be held this evening from 4-8 p.m. at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Diana Cemetery.
Survivors include: two daughters: Kim Brown and husband Richard and Karen Young, all of Diana; brother, Jimmy Lanier and wife Wanda of Oak Grove; sister, Frances Johnson and husband Arnold of California; 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
