A Tennessee man was killed Sunday after the airboat he was bow fishing on collided with a tree limb in Lake Guntersville, according to authorities.

The airboat that Christopher Gray of Dellrose, was a passenger on struck a tree limb along Mud Creek, Gray, 43, was thrown into the rear of the boat and against the cage surrounding the propeller.

He was later pronounced dead at the scene.

The operator of the airboat was uninjured during the collision.

Troopers with Alabama’s Law Enforcement Agency’s Marine Patrol Division are continuing their investigation.
