Mary Elizabeth Choate Brindley, 98, died Monday She was born at Minor Hill, where the family moved to Nashville, when she was young. She graduated from Nashville’s Central High School in 1938 and first worked for National Life & Accident Insurance Company, where she retired after 36 years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Nashville for more than 69 years.

She is survived by her two daughters:  Betty Jane Brindley Chalfant  and Susan Lynn Brindley Burke, both of Brentwood. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday evening, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Woodbine Funeral Home, HICKORY CHAPEL, 5852 Nolensville Road, and from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM in the Cheek House at First Presbyterian Church, 4815 Franklin Road, Nashville. The Service will follow in the Cheek House Chapel.  Burial will be at the Woodlawn Cemetery, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville immediately following the Funeral Services.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to First Presbyterian Church, 4815 Franklin Road, Nashville, 37220.
