A man was pulled-out of a vehicle after it crashed into a Richland Creek Tuesday.

The crash occurred in Marshall County where the car ran off of I-65 South near Mile Marker 23 and crashed into Richland Creek just north of the Cornersville exit.

Authorities said the man was traveling southbound on I-65 when for some reason he left the roadway, flipped over and landed upside down on the edge of Richland Creek.

Officials said the driver spent nearly an hour trapped inside the SUV.

When the Marshall County Sheriff’s office, Tennessee Highway Patrol troopers and other officers finally got him out, they said the driver was responsive and had a few scratches and bruises from what they could see. The driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
