The Pulaski Board of Mayor and Aldermen met in regular session Tuesday at the City Hall.

The board approved the 2019-2020 appropriations  totaling $464,450 on the second and final reading

No comments were made during the public hearing, so the 2019-2020 General Government Budgets, plus Natural Gas and Water & Sewer Budgets were approved.

Also, a resolution was adopted authorizing issuance of Interfund Capital Outlay notes, which allows the water/sewer department to borrow money to raise water and gas pipes on Route 7.

 City Administrator Terry Harrison told the board that the state will pay back 100 percent of the cost of approximately $800,000.

Paving of all parking spaces in commercial and industrial districts was also approved.

T.J. Construction Company of Florence received the Gas System expansion bid at $426,707.20. Harrison said the company had done work for the city before and he was very satisfied.

The board adopted a resolution on filing lawsuits on delinquent taxes. Harrison reported the last day to pay 2018 taxes is June 30th and 2017 will be delinquent.

Board agreed to purchase property adjacent from the landfill property. Harrison said the property was 5 acres and sales were less than $2,000 an acre.

Property located at 114 Perkins Street was rezoned from High Density Residential to General Commercial.

Dump fees was waived for the Giles County Rescue Squad while tearing down the old Frankewing station..

An application for a parade permit from City Barber Shop on June 28th was approved and the board authorized sale of a truck belonging to the Parks & Recreation Department after a new vehicle was purchased.
