William James Sandy, age 77, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at his residence.  He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired from Murray Ohio, and a member of First Baptist Church of Lawrenceburg.  Mr. Sandy served his country in the Tennessee Army National Guard.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Ruth Lovelace Sandy; and one sister, Brenda Sandrell.

 

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Sandy of Lawrenceburg, TN; two daughters, Kimberly Bennett (Tim) of Huntingdon, TN and Dana Layfield (Brad) of Murfreesboro, TN; one brother, Charles Sandy of St. Joseph, TN; and five grandchildren.

 

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at OK Cemetery at 12:00 PM Sunday, May 16, 2021, with Ben Emerson officiating.  Condolences may be sent by way of our website at www.nealfuneralhome.net.
