Ina Gilchrist, age 82, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Tuesday, May 04, 2021, at Southern TN Regional Health System in Lawrenceburg, TN. She was a native of Collinwood, TN, a homemaker, and a member of Scotts Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Cypress Inn, TN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Howard and Sylvia Myrtle Bates Hanback; her husband, James Alvin Gilchrist; two sisters, Idell Robbins and Arnell Roberson; and one brother, Edsel Hanback.

She is survived by one daughter, Carol Smith (James) of Lawrenceburg, TN; one son, Chris Gilchrist (Deanne) of Nashville, TN; three grandchildren, Alison Huckaba (Wes), Chelsea Roberson (Nic), and Hayley Newton (Robert); and five great-grandchildren, Jayvin Huckaba, Judson Huckaba, Cooper Newton, Scarlett Roberson, and Maddux Newton.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  Graveside services and interment will be conducted at McGlamery Cemetery at 1:00 PM Friday, May 07, 2021, with Johnny Banks officiating.  The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.  Condolences may be sent by way of our website at www.nealfuneralhome.net.
