Ina Mae Williams, age 89, resident of Lawrenceburg, passed away Wednesday, May 5 at her home

 

Funeral service for Mrs. Williams will be 12:00 Noon on Saturday, May 8 at Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia, TN with her son, Michael Stafford officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM Saturday until service time at Heritage Funeral Home. Military honors will be provided by the US Air Force Honor Guard.

 

Born March,12, 1932 in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of the late William and Thelma Wix Buie and the wife of the late Howard L. Williams. Mrs. Williams worked as a registered nurse for over 50 years. First with Giles County Hospital and later with Maury Regional Medical in the Labor and Delivery Unit for over 20 years. She loved doing arts and crafts, especially egg painting. Mrs. Williams served her country in the US Air Force in 1955.

 

She is survived by her daughter: Sherrie (Terry) Lee of Lebanon; sons: Larry (Jackie) Barryhill and Michael Stafford, both of Lawrenceburg, Randy Stafford of South Carolina and Corey (Tracy) Williams of Summertown; 15 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sons: Charles Stafford, Jr and Norgie Buie; brother: William Buie; sister: Mable Calvert; grandchildren: Brittney Barryhill and Colton Williams.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family wish for donations to be to the NCH Brink Street Nursing Home Activity Department. The family would also like to say special thanks to the nurses and staff at NHC Brink Street for the love and care they showed to their mother.
