FIRST RESPONDERS IN LAWRENCE COUNTY WERE BUSY MEMORIAL DAY WITH A SERIES OF TRAFFIC CRASHES.  MEMBERS OF THE SUMMERTOWN FIRE DEPARTMENT, LAWRENCE COUNTY EMS, AND TENNESSEE HIGHWAY PATROL WERE CALLED TO OLD NORTH MILITARY ROAD AROUND 3PM ON A REPORT THAT A VEHICLE HAD COLLIDED WITH AN AMISH BUGGY.  RESCUERS SUMMONED TWO MEDICAL CHOPPERS TO THE SCENE DUE TO THE SEVERITY OF THE INJURIES OF A PAIR OF VICTIMS.  THE CRASH REMAINS UNDER INVESTIGATION.  HOURS LATER, MEMBRS OF THE LAWRENCEBURG FIRE DEPARTMENT JOINED COUNTY EMS AND CITY POLICE OFFICERS ON THE SCENE OF A MOTORCYCLE CRASH.  THE INCIDENT WAS REPORTED JUST BEFORE 5PM ON EAST GAINES STREET NEAR WALGREENS HOWEVER MAJOR INJURIES WERE REPORTED.
