At approximately 2:12 PM the Ethridge Fire Department was dispatched to Elk Valley Hardwood (3618 Hwy 43 North. Ethridge,TN) for a report of an industrial saw mill on fire. First arriving units from Ethridge Fire Department reported heavy fire, and smoke covering a large portion of the facility. Three additional alarms were transmitted requesting additional apparatus, and personnel. Units from Lawrence County Fire Rescue, Lawrenceburg Fire, Mt.Pleasant Fire, and Maury County Fire have responded to the scene with over 15 fire apparatus including an aerial ladder truck, a specialized foam unit, and over 40 personnel.

The fire is currently 90% contained. Lawrence County Emergency Management has arrived on scene along with the Lawrence County Executive’s Office. Further information will be released as it comes available. No injuries have been reported. Elk Valley Hardwood does employee approximately 35 people.
