Walter Sumpter (W.S.) Cox Jr. died Sunday, January 28th, 2024 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, he was 92. He was a graduate of Giles County High School, a U.S Navy veteran of the Korean War, a graduate of middle Tennessee State University, and a Christian. He was employed with Murray Ohio of Lawrenceburg, Giles County’s Education Department, Sheriff’s Department, The American Consulate in Saudi Arabia, and Country Square Apartments of Manchester.
Graveside services will be at 10:30am Monday February 5th, 2024 at Maplewood Cemetery.
Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery.
