William Boyd died Sunday, January 14th, 2024, he was 95. He was born in Lynnville, served in the U.S. Army at Fort Hood, attended Tennessee Tech University, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in math and education. He also graduated from George Peabody College (Vanderbilt University) with a master’s degree in education, and was a teacher in the Jones Elementary School in Lynnville and Metro Nashville Public Schools.

Survivors include a daughter Mary Jane and husband Warren Ziegler, son, Bill and wife Elizabeth Boyd, and 4 grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, January 27th, at Lynnwood Cemetery in Lynnville.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to local schools or animal shelters.
