Dendon Grisham (Bubba) Abernathy, 69, died January 18th, 2024, at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro. He was born in Pulaski, graduated from Giles County High School, earned a degree in business from Martin College, attended Middle Tennessee State University, and was a lifelong partner with Abernathy Concrete Company in Pulaski.

 Survivors include brothers, Dr. Moulton D. (Rusty) Abernathy Jr., Dr. Frederick H. Abernathy and wife Patti, William G. (Bill) Abernathy, all of Pulaski, sister Patty Mansfield and husband Stan of Knoxville, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

He chose to donate his body to science for the purpose of aiding in the advancement of science and medicine.

His family is establishing an endowment in his honor to fund scholarships and grants designed to help students and charities in Southern Tennessee. Memorial donations are suggested to the Abernathy Scholarship and Charitable Giving Fund, P.O. Box 247, Pulaski, TN 38478.
