Joyce Davis Mayfield of Madison, died at Limestone Nursing Home in Athens, January 18th, 2024. She was 95 years of age.

She attended Prospect High School, and graduated in 1946 as the class Valedictorian, she attended Middle Tennessee State University receiving a BS Degree in Education and also attended at the University of South Carolina. She taught school in the Pulaski school system in Giles County, coached both the girls’ basketball team at Campbellsville High School and at Pulaski Junior High School. She was a member of East Hill Church of Christ, Pulaski.

Visitation will be 12:00 until 1:00pm Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024, at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home.

Services will be at 1:00pm,Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024, in the chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Johnson officiating.

Burial will be in the Maplewood Cemetery.

Survivors include a sister, Evelyn Davis Smith of Athens, stepdaughter, Beckie Bradford and husband Randall Sullivan, stepsons Robert M. and wife Bettye Bradford, Jr., and Stephen D. and wife Hsiu Chin Bradford and many step-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
