William P Gordon, Sr. Age 83 of Athens, died October 4th, 2023. He was born in New York. He attended Hamilton schools and graduated from Fork Union Military Academy. He was a manager of Grand Union grocery stores, worked for Mobile Oil, and was an Engineer for Mobile Oil Corporation. He was a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include his Stepmother Phoebe Gordon of Florida, Children William and wife Kim Gordon Jr of Frankewing, David and wife Denise Gordon of Virginia, and Elizabeth and husband Peter Clapp of Alabama, 9 Grandchildren and several great grandchildren and other family members.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
