John M. “Buddy” Merritt passed away Sunday morning, December 24, 2017, at his home. He was born in Giles County and was 91 years old. He was an Army WWII veteran and a member of the West Madison Street Church of Christ.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 Tuesday, December 26th, 2017 at Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be 1:00pm Wednesday, December 27, 2017, in the chapel of Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home with Bro. Reg Ginn and Bro. Will Hamilton officiating.
Burial with full military honors will follow in the Anthony Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial donations be made to Sacred Selections Adopting c/o 1608 Manasco Circle Folsom, CA 95630
He was preceded in death by his parents Adrian and Allie Reagan Merritt along with his brothers James A. Merritt and Leslie Merritt.
He is survived by;
His wife of 68 years Mable Boyd Merritt of Pulaski; Son Thomas A. Merritt of Pulaski; Daughter Judy C. Merritt of Lynchburg, TN; Son John M. (DeLane) Merritt, Sr. of Pulaski; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for John M. “Buddy” Merritt.
