Richard Raymond Long died Saturday, December 3rd at his home in Athens. He was born in Ohio and was 80 years old. He was retired from the US Army and a former manager at the Redstone commissary.

Survivors include his Wife, Patricia Long of Athens, Son, Tony and wife Annette Dugger Luttrell of Athens, Sisters, Pat Steinmetz of Florida, and Pam Long of Ohio, Several nieces and nephews also survive.
