John Lamar “J” Tucker, III of Prospect died on Tuesday. He was born in Huntsville, and was 47 years old.

He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin with a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture.

Visitation will be on Friday, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory.

The funeral service will follow on Saturday, at 3:00pm in the Chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home.

Burial will take place in the Tucker Family Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Betsy of Prospect, a son Derrick Thomas and wife Kim of Leoma, a son, John Will Tucker of Prospect, two daughters, Lorren Smith of Leoma and Kylee Dean Tucker of Prospect, and his mother Sherian Tucker of Ardmore, along with several aunts, uncles, and other relatives also survive.
