Four mathematics faculty, Jennifer Aust, Jac Cole, Sarah Eskew, and Chris Mattingly, and two students, Alexa Bryan and Kat Lynch attended the 103rd annual meeting of the Southeastern Section of the Mathematical Association of America, which was held March 14-16, 2024, at UT Knoxville.

Dr. Aust and Dr. Eskew both gave presentations and served as moderators for student paper sessions during the event.

Alexa is a junior math major, and Kat is a junior math w/licensure major. Both are members of the Tennessee Xi Chapter of Alpha Chi National Honor Society.

The Mathematical Association of America is one of several national professional organizations for people interested in mathematics. The MAA focuses on undergraduate teaching and supporting undergraduate students, and all those interested in mathematics

The Southeastern Section comprises Alabama, Georgia, North and South Carolina, and Tennessee.
