City property owners in Pulaski who have not paid their 2015 property taxes should expect to receive a summons from the Giles County Chancery Court. These names have been turned over to City Attorney Andy Hoover, who will file a lawsuit through the court.

City Administrator Terry Harrison said these tax payers should have received a delinquent tax notice to alert them of their failure to pay the 2015 city property taxes.

A deputy clerk of the Giles County Chancery Court says if a person goes to court, in addition to paying the delinquent tax, attorney's, clerk and service fees will be added to the total.

If you want to try to avoid court, call Hoover's office at 363-1555 for more information.
