An option for what schools may look like in the 2020-21 school year is being considered by the Giles County School System.
“It is important for us to identify and understand  parents’  expectations, concerns and thoughts regarding a return to school,”  Director of Schools Vickie Beard  said.
In an effort to develop a plan of action in light of the current state of  COVID-19 in Tennessee,  Giles  County  School System has developed a parent survey to be completed by all parents who have students expected to  be enrolled in a Giles County school for the upcoming academic year.
The survey is short and ask parents to respond to only  a  few  questions.
One survey will be submitted for each school-aged child  in the household.
“Completion of this survey by parents is vital for the  school system to be able to plan accordingly for the upcoming year,” Beard said.
A link to the survey will be sent through School  Messenger on Friday, June  5th.
Surveys can  be completed on a  computer or a smartphone.
For those families who do not have the capability to  complete  the  survey  online,  paper  copies  of  the survey can be picked up and  returned  to  any  Giles County school.
All survey responses  must  be  submitted  by  Wednesday, June 10th.
“We  appreciate and value your input,” Beard concluded.
