Giles County commissioners will meet in a special session Thursday, June 27th.

County Executive Melissa Greene has called for the special session to begin at 9 a.m. in the in the Giles County Courthouse Courtroom.

On the agenda are authorizing the amendment of the 2018-2019 Budget, County General Fund, Highway Capital Projects, General Purpose School Fund, and other capital projects fund.

Commissions will also be asked to authorize and approve Surety bonds for other county officials and county employees that require to have bonds.

Also, during the special session commissioners will be asked to make appropriations for various funds, departments, institutions, offices and agencies of Giles County for the year beginning July 1st, 2019 and ending June 30th, 2020.

The commissioners will fix the county's tax levy for the next fiscal year and agree on the adoption and impound fees at the Giles County Animal Shelter.

The public is invited to attend the June 27th special session.
