According to Giles County Sheriff Kyle Helton there was a homicide Sunday night  in Giles County on Highway 31 North near Ella West Circle.

Details are still uncertain, but Sheriff Helton says a person of interest is being held. Melvin Hyde age 57 is named as the deceased. 

Sheriff Helton also says that the Sheriff’s Department and additional personnel have been investigating the homicide all night, and, the investigation continues.
