A small plane crashed in a field near Mt. Pleasant Middle School on Saturday afternoon.

It is thought that the plane lost power in the engine. The pilot suffered no life threatening injuries and was sent to a nearby hospital.

The pilot was the only occupant of the plane and the Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the crash.
