Will Fisher, a teacher and assistant football coach at Spring Hill, died Sunday. He was 33 years old.

“I’m still in shock myself,” athletics director John Farmer said regarding the loss of the offensive line coach and social studies teacher, a native of Huntingdon in West Tennessee. “The kids loved him and he loved the kids. He thought the world of those boys, especially the ones that played offensive line.”

School administrators and members of the coaching staff, as well as Maury County Public Schools athletics director Chris Poynter, met with the football team Sunday afternoon.

Across the statewide coaching community, Fisher’s sudden passing obviously comes as a shock.

Fisher is survived by his parents, Susan and Keith Fisher, and sisters Lindsey Johnson and Paige Fisher. Arrangements are still pending
