DR. CHARLIE HATCHER, COMMISSIONER OF THE TENNESSEE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE, VISITED THE LAWRENCEBURG ROTARY CLUB ON FRIDAY.  DR. HATCHER PROVIDED AN OVERVIEW OF T-D-A WHICH INCLUDES SUPPORT FOR AGRICULTURAL FAIRS ACROSS THE STATE, FORESTRY, LIVESTOCK VACCINATIONS, WEIGHTS AND MEASURES, PLUS SEVERAL OTHER PROGRAMS.  TENNESSEE AGRICULTURE GENERATES OVER $88 BILLION IN REVENUE AND IS THE NUMBER ONE BUSINESS IN THE VOLUNTEER STATE.  THE TENNESSEE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE RECEIVES EXCELLENT SUPPORT FROM THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE AND DR. HATCHER PRAISED THE CURRENT AND PREVIOUS ADMINISTRATIONS FOR THEIR SUPPORT OF RURAL AREAS. HE DISCUSSED MONEY FLOWING INTO THE STATE FROM THE COVID RELATED CARES ACT INCLUDING $55 MILLION IN GRANTS FOR AGRICULTURAL INTERESTS.
